1. Is this therapy or counsling?
No. Light Beyond Shadows is not a therapy program.
We provide trauma-informed support, coping tools, and group connections, but we do not diagnose, provide clinical treatment, or replace mental health.
2. Is there a cost for programs?
Services at Light Beyond Shadows are low-cost to free, depending on the program.
We never turn a family away due to financial barriers, and assistance is available.
3. What ages do you serve?
We currently support children and teens ages 5-17 through age-specific groups:

4. Do you accept kids with behavioral challenges?
Yes. We understand trauma can look like anger, withdrawl, shutting down, or acting out.
Kids will never be judged or shamed here.
5. Do parents attend with their kids?
No. Groups are designed for youth only. However, we do offer caregiver support and resources.
6. How do I enroll my child?

7. Are volunteers background-checked?
Yes. Every volunteer or staff member must pass a background check, complete trauma-informed training, and commit to our safety standards.
